Smooth-on's platinum-cure series seems like it'll be good, it's pretty expensive, but it seems to be the cheapest and best option for platinum-cure which is what you'll want to use for toys. It's also available in a lot of different firmnesses.

With depth training plan you mean getting past the sigmoid colon? So for getting past/straighting the sigmoid colon get a double ended dildo with a diameter small as possible and really bendy. The one i started with was a jelly 3.3cm/1.3inch diameter dildo. It starts with just finding your way into the sigmoid. So NO stretching or extensive force. Just try and find your way in. Study the anatomy for the right angle of attack. It may take quite a few tries before you get anywhere. After you are able to insert the small bendy one, you can gradually try and work your way to stiffer and/or bigger ones.
Before you can even start the training you have to go through some proper preparations.
- Clean out your colon entirely. So a proper enema.
- Get a lot and good lube. I used crisco to start of with, which works great but its messy and not to great for the toys. Now I use j-lube which almost as slippery with the benefits of it being water based.

In a moths time you wont use a lot of lube. When training to get past sigmoid you should use a lot of lube. But the deep enema's can offset the balance of bacteria in you colon so you can't do it too many times. Also you body needs to adjust and heal after you trained it. So in a active month ill only train maybe 2-3 times.
As for diameter improvements, I'm not even close to as experienced as some of the people here. Let me know if you have more questions

Not really, it's more about discovering how to get into the sigmoid then something you train. Just make sure the toy you use is small and bendy. (with bendy I mean that you can fold the double ended without to much trouble)
Some tips that might help:
- enter you anus with the dildo aiming for your left leg.
- try and let your tailbone guide the dildo deep into you.
- If you find that while aiming for your left leg you can go a little deeper then when you are aiming for your right leg, then you are in the right spot. There should be a little more space.
