I think the main reason for that is twofold:
1) It's always just sort of shoehorned in there with no buildup or explanation. You can't just have someone coincidentally have the fetish in the story without any kind of telegraphing. That feels tacky and contrived.
2) Once it's mentioned, it's never really expanded upon in any meaningful way. It becomes a throwaway comment. "John always wanted to be in the presence of a giant girl." Okay. Why do I care? Law of Conservation of Detail holds here; if you include something like that, it needs to be relevant to the story. No, "they'd enjoy the scenario more" isn't meaningful. IMO, of course.
I think a story in which one of the people had the fetish could be interesting, but as you said, it'd have to be handled with care. Using it as an actual plot point works sometimes, but there hasn't been much outside of, "John wanted to shrink himself because he wanted to see Jane huge," or, "Jane always secretly wanted to shrink John and keep him to himself," or simple stuff like that, so it becomes cliche and trite.

Well, many people speak in one paragraph. Dialogue is usually kept to one person at a time for that.

Some phrases, like "in a very mystical way", feel like they're telling rather than showing.

The main character jumps between irrelevant concepts really quickly early on.

The dialogue is awkward altogether; the first guy feels totally irrelevant to the plot, what the smaller guy is doing can't really be described as "fucking", and the whole exchange they have comes across as stilted. Especially the line "You're going to feel a slight orgasm"

There's no punctuation marks except for periods, which makes the main character seem completely neutral and uninterested in the way things are going.

Don't be too discouraged, but I think it needs some work.

Honestly, it's a bit of a problem with the site's design. One person can just spam the gallery to oblivion. It has just happened now, some vampire comic has just filled the first few pages. Who is going to bother to scroll through all that?

I think they need to enact one or two features here:

1) Allow comics/series to be uploaded as a single "set", much like how the product pages work. Rather than spamming the main gallery with dozens of images, only a single preview "folder" is posted to the main gallery, and all the other images are contained inside. Given that this sort of functionality already exists, one would hope they could easily generalize it - and enforce it - for the rest of the site.

2) Only allow a handful of uploads to the main gallery per day. You could do this in a fairly non-intrusive way - let the user upload as much as they want, but have them automatically queue up and post gradually over the next X days until all images are posted (with the user being able to set the order, if desired). This way you can still have big folders of images uploaded, but no in a way that completely wipes everything else. I'm generally not in favor of arbitrary restrictions like this though, so maybe it's not ideal.

I think the GiantessLove gallery system - and many other parts of the website - could really use a bit of an overhaul or rethink. A lot of it is just too clunky or intuitive.

This is something I've complained about in the past. This whole "one all-in gallery" type approach just leads to a load of problems. If you're going to go to the effort to introduce tagging and OC vs. repost systems, it would be nice if they actually did something beyond superficiality or bare-basic mechanics.

I think they should rethink the main page. Instead of showing EVERYTHING, they could perhaps display multiple separated "streams" based on the image tags and/or popularity. The top most visible stream might be the "hot/popular" stream, based on some ratio of views/loves against time, or based upon admin/moderator selection. You could then also have streams for new OC, new shares, new posts in specific popular sub-fetishes/content types, etc. At the bottom they could have a "everything" stream that just displays the full gallery. And maybe they could have a "random picks" stream that just randomly pulls images from the gallery, a nice way to keep some of the older stuff more relevant ... maybe.

And importantly, they might make it so each user could customize their own "front page" with which ever streams they want, showing whatever content they want (based on tag flags, etc). New users are shown a more curated collection of content (better than just random dumps?), and returning users can customize their experience. Fundamentally the site would still work on the "one gallery" system, it might just be a nicer, easier way to display sub-selections in order to maximize user experience.

It operates a bit like DeviantArt for searching for specific artist's work. That is, if you go to your profile, you can see your "watched" artists down the side. Otherwise, if you're not watching them, you have to know their username so you can put it into the URL or do a search for it ... or hope the artist uploads something new shortly so you can click directly through from the front page (... or search through page after page to find one of their pieces). I'm not sure if there is a complete user list, and even if there was, because of the way the site is structured, it'd probably be difficult to differentiate artist from general lurker.

Of course, most websites have this sort of problem too. But I do think GiantessLove's overall design makes it a bit more clunky. Nobody is using their own page in a way equivalent to a DA user page, and the search functionality is pretty bare bones, so it's very annoying to try to go back through the gallery to try to find specific artwork or a specific artist.

There are a few websites I've seen which get around this by having a full "members" page which contains useful statistics (ie. number of pieces uploaded so you can easily sort by artists/lurkers; and date of last upload so you can use it to find new work from your favourite artists). Something like this might be somewhat useful.

But in general, yeah, the site isn't very intuitive overall. It's trying to mash three or four different websites into one (a booru, a forum, DA), but the crossover functions aren't very clear, things feel a bit too "bulky", and so on. I like the idea of it a lot, I just think they need to make another design/functionality pass or two.

I think the fact that you enjoy both aspects (even if not to the same degree) is really interesting. This is quite unfortunate, because anecdotally, I've been friends with three different "female" community members who later admitted to me that they're guys who just enjoy roleplaying as women (presumably they had trouble finding women who wanted to roleplay the scenarios they were interested in?). It didn't particularly bother me - I'm not much of a fan of roleplay, these were (some still are) just people I chat with generally as friends - but I can't imagine that these kinds of situations helps any.

Of course, that's not to say that it's not a dick mood to go around accusing every female member as being a dude! I guess I'm just saying that I've personally come across a few of the situations which might tend to reinforce this stereotype. They're not doing anybody any favors.
