Yeah, DA's kinda gone to shit, and all the artists I knew outgrew it and went to Tumblr, That, and as an artist it's way easier to use, no need to manage all the favorites and comments and whatever, they just disappear down the dash after a few minutes. That's what I also think about the site, there's a reasonable number of people that still update their stuff on there, like M23 and a few writers, I don't even think M23 has Tumblr.

Thanks for posting these old stories, there's a couple I remember from the period that I've lost, and I'm wondering if you'd happen to have them.

One was a series set in toon world that involved a mouse upset at noise from a local bar (I think), and would squash/flatten anybody that performed at it. And possibly any stories from Dorian Vore, I think he died and his family closed all his accounts, I've only got a couple of his.

Our next shape change thread should be food themed.

Mostly children's toy and food commercials. It's a more about the actors actually acting the tfs out since the concept of post-editing special effects is non-existent in the story.

Say, those air heads commercials or Capri-sun ads with melting liquid metal kids. Just commercials that shape change the actors in some way or another.

Those all have potential. I especially like the idea of bored kids entertaining themselves at an event they're not really into, and then things go to far and they interrupt the show.

Maybe combine that premise with the second two commercials? Bored kids eat candy and expand into a giant bubble that pops, leaving behind a multi-colored mess that flattens everyone else into the walls.

That'll work! It'll be three teenagers, one eighteen year old and two sixteen year olds, that inflate into giant bubbles. Their skin hue matches the flavor of gum they're eating, blueberry, lemon, and cherry. After filming, the crew gather up the exploded bubble gummy pieces of actors and mash them together based on color. does anyone remember the polar bear icecream ad? ran sometime late 90s to early 2000s I think. not sure. Might have seen it on a taped tv show ad break (remember recording live tv onto video cassettes, guys?), so it could be from anytime. It had a factory with the belt thing, a character got flattened, and then the flattened mascot got chopped into a bunch of normal copies of the icecream, like, with a cookie cutter press or something similar.

i never felt aroused by it, since the mascot's a friggin' polar bear, but it did lead to some dreams of the scenario with myself and a boy i had a bit of a crush on at the time that reeeaaaally got me into the idea.

(if anyone can find it, cool! if anyone can draw based off it with one or more normal humans instead of a furry character, i love you forever.)
