On to the bigger point, Startoons isn't even that unique of a studio, not only did they never get their own show, they had no style, just a weird derivative of the Tex Avery style. In the same years they were operating, you had Klapsy Cuspo, Genndy Tartakovsky, Groening's style, all of these rising to the top and all of them far more aesthetically pleasing than safe, bland, and colored neutral. Startoons is worshiped out of nostalgia and the safeness of the work. No one would ever be offended by the easy palette, curvy line work, and boring backgrounds, you literally can't be offended by it. By far the most definitive of these traits is the show they put the most work into, Histeria, notably bland, received as a Animaniacs knock off, and ugly. The show's only real accomplishment was stealing fuck loads of investor's money to deliver a lackluster product.

I will concede that Startoons was incredibly skilled at facial designs and animation, but if you think that's impressive, they designed each face of a specific grid that utterly infested their designs with the same face to make it easier to give them fluid animation. It would be impressive to me if they could animate Hank Hill's face fluidly without breaking model, but you'll end up spending 5 million dollars, go eight months over deadline, and he'll be redesigned off the character sheet because they wanted him to have 'expressive' horse teeth.

In totality, you should read Richard William's animator's survival kit instead of waxing nostalgically with your autistic chart about how the mediocrity of the 90's was actually great.

Not even talking about how all three of those animators could stay in budget, name a single product they worked on that wasn't made for kids. They were bland, and they operated by saturating the market at a time that Moral Panic and religious fervor was tremendous.
