It's more like making the hero an insane massive dickhead. Spock terrorized New York and tried to implement his martial law and Tony hooked people on his tech while exploiting withdrawal symptoms.

Another thing for Superior ____ was that ASM sales were fucking SHIT and Iron Man has always had trouble selling well for being one of Marvel's biggest heroes (mainly thanks to the MCU). So it has to be a character that really needs the sales boost. So of course Carol needs it the most.

He's not saying that Carol needs to be fucked up to be interesting. He's saying that current Carol lacks any interesting qualities she once had when she was a drunk mess. Now she's just a bland hero that's simply concerned about her public image. What's interesting about that? What entices you to read stories about that? It's actually better for her to be a drunken mess and try to deal with those problems, rather than being the bland lame hero she is now.

I want a comic where a future butterball who is the greatest hero of all time, comes back to our time to train young & powerful but irresponsible heroes, to face a big threat or someshit. Just seeing a little fat kid who is actually a thousands of years old immortal coming and teaching little shits how to be a hero and being all poetic and zen and shit seems like it would be a really fun comic to read.

That's Bendis being Bendis more than anything else. He completely ignored addressing the events of Superior Iron Man in his current run, but the white symbiote armor Tony was wearing while Inverted showed up among some of Tony's armors in the first or second issue of Bendis's Invincible Iron Man run. Then again, that could have been all on the artist.
