Their jokes about Trump were like making that episode about the Obama/McCain heist in 2010. The jokes were already completely dated by the time Matt and Trey got around to them because, due in part to more integrated social media, news is propagated and satirised incredibly quick nowadays. I mean they made a joke about Trump being unreliable with the nuclear codes, /pol/ had a copypasta for fucking weeks before that episode aired.
Saying "He's too hard to make fun of" is a total cop out because making fun of him is filling a huge amount of airtime at the moment. They copped out and are now trying to shift the blame.
