This is Hank Pym. He's has quite a rough time. Say something nice would you, please?
He's a firm believer in equal rights for women
>>95285329
He tries his best even after failing so many times
He is starting to become a real slap happy guy that's up beat.
>>95285329
he WILL save the Avengers!
>>95285329
That's not Hank you LIAR
>>95285375
And he's got a firm backhand too.
>>95285878
Shut up Janet it's me
>>95285329
The Scarlet Witch once smacked Janet a lot harder than you ever did and nobody gave her shit over it.
>>95285329
He's a founding member of the avengers team and one of the greatest minds of the Marvel Universe who does not get anywhere near the credit he deserves instead people remember him as the "le beats his wife man" and now he is literally Ultron.
>>95286041
too busy blaming Wanda over genocide. But of course, a slap during a mental breakdown is far worse than genocide
>>95285329
Faggots are doing threads about you in /co/ again, Mr. Pym. Go there and laugh.
>>95285329
He is my favorite Marvel hero.
>>95287106
same. And if I could have one piece of tech from Marvel it would be Toolbot
>>95285954
>ruining the joke
Every time
>>95285329
Hank, thank you for being you.
You're my favorite train wreck to watch.
>>95287106
I do not think he deserve all the hate. He really did his best to remedy his own mistakes and become a better person. However, there is always someone who, even after years, is convinced that his status quo must be that of an asshole.
Ultimates has certainly helped bring the idea that Pym is a loser and so Bendis with Avengers Disassembled and Millar Civil war, where Pym is terribly unlikable.
Pym was great in West Coast Avengers.
>>95287106
That was Loki posing as Eternity to fuck with Pym.
>>95287374
Got the page that reveals that?
>>95287374
no it wasn't. Pym was IN the realm of abstracts, it was the second or third time he went there. Loki doesn't have that kind of power, to impersonate an abstract. Loki, god of lies, was lying to get himself out.
>>95287379
>>95285329
>>95287431
>Loki doesn't have that kind of power, to impersonate an abstract.
You are entirely incorrect about that. Loki is more than capable of that. It may have been the case that he was lying about it, but it was never proved either way.
Honestly, the shrinking stuff and building Ultron are impressive, but actually creating a device that lets him talk to insects makes him far more of a genius than anything else he has done.
>>95287442
Did he actually though, or is he saying that because his whole shtick is lying and getting under people's skin via their insecurities? Serious question.
>>95285329
I think he was the best thing in Secret Empire.
>>95287442
savage asf
Why is it that Stark gets away with pulling so much heinous shit, but people are mostly willing to forgive and forget, whereas Pym has one major fuckup (Ultron) and one minor fuckup (smacking Janet whilst in the midst of a complete mental breakdown) and no one will ever stop giving him shit over it?
>>95287643
Some people get shit on for no apparent reason.
>>95287643
Because it's just become the hat that Pym gets to wear. If it's any consolation, Tony's more or less stuck with the shallow, quipping d-bag hat for the foreseeable future.
>>95287474
>>95287643
was this Loki too then?
>>95287643
>"abstract entities"
>all different-coloured humans
wow real fucking abstract
He's too pure for Marvel just give him a house in the countryside where he can do experiments and leave him alone
>>95285865
>>95285874
>>95285933
Hank is redpilled as fuck.
>>95287763
That's because we're humans perceiving them.
>>95285865
>None of them are even remotely putting up a fight.
This is fucking heartbreaking.
>>95287772
>Hank Pym
>Alone doing experiments
That's a recipe for disaster Anon. Just look what happened to Banner when he tried to do that.
>>95287106
What are the responsibilities of a "Scientist Supreme"? Does Pym now dedicate his life to protecting earth from "dark science"?
What a load of shit.
>>95287815
>Does Pym now dedicate his life to protecting earth from "dark science"?
That's a much bigger problem on 616 than it is on, say, our Earth. AIM, AID, whatever the fuck MODOK is up to, Doom's magitech stuff, to say nothing of all the bad guys stealing tech.
>>95287811
>Just look what happened to Banner when he tried to do that
was cured and finally got to relax until Hawkeye murdered him for no reason?
>>95285329
He pings at multiple Hitlers, but so do almost all of his associatives.
None of them are good people or should be allowed to live other than in chains, really.
>>95287833
Hank should have lead AIM instead of Sunspot. Then he'd be Supreme Scientist Supreme
>>95287878
Exactly. Hank will be living peacefully and someones gonna bust in thinking another Ultron is about to happen.
>>95287833
>Doom's magitech
Isnt he the infamous iron man and trying to be a good guy?
>>95287901
>Hank put it down?
>What? The toaster?
>Put down the evil robot!
>Its not a robot, I'm making toast!
>Put it down!
>Just let me get my god damned--ug
RIP Hank Pym RIP Toast with Jam
>>95287963
>Hank I think the remote's busted
>lemme take a look
>new Ultron created
>>95288217
>what's the problem here
>I seem to have gotten a flat tire
>lets see what I can do
>I AM CARTRON!
>>95285375
And equal lefts.
>>95287374
>>95287442
Actually I think he was lying when he claimed that.
>>95287474
Loki can impersonate Eternity in the Dimension of Manifestations? Anon, I want some verification of that please.
>>95287643
>Why is it that Stark gets away with pulling so much heinous shit
Like what? Enforcing a law passed by the duly elected representatives of the people of the USA?
>>95287763
That's just how we see them...
>>95287763
>>95287785
That's just more of /co/ pretending they read comics and getting BTFO
>>95287772
Didn't they try that for a while? He quit being Antman, Giantman and all that and was just "dr.Pym" in a red jumpsuit?
I mean 'speed suit'?
>>95287884
That's weird. You're weird.
>>95287913
For one more issue. But it's all Bendis, so I don't know how much it's worth in the long run.
Assuming there even IS a 'long run' when it comes to Marvel Comics.
>Marvel Comics files for bankruptcy
>Nobody buys their comics anymore
>Desperate last-ditch attempts to regain their standing by replacing all their characters with white, anglo-saxon males didn't work
>It's the end of Marvel Comics
>Stan closes his eyes and says "Finally, the curse is over" as a tear runs down his wizened cheek
>"I'm coming, Jack" he whispers as his mighty heart beats its last when the final Marvel comic is sold in the final shop that still carried any of their titles
>>95287778
Get called out for violence against loved ones, responds with violence against loved ones.
>Redpilled as fuck
>>95288961
The Scientific Adventurer
>>95285329
He's a fun guy.
>>95289045
God don't remind me. He couldn't change sizes anymore lest he die of a heart attack or something, so he turned into Doctor Who, with a pocket full of miniaturized equipment he'd zoom up as necessary.
>>95288956
It's just not the same without the laughing.
>>95288830
Anon, you're a disingenuous shit if you sum up Stark's actions during Civil War as innocently enforcing the law.
>>95285865
I know the slap gets overdone a lot but shit hes right. In marvel slapping a woman > selling weapons of mass destruction.
Htf is it Tony never got near as much shit even before the MCU took off?
>>95285329
We both believe in equal rights mean equal fights.
>>95285329
at this point pymtron killing the marvel universe would be consider the good end
>>95291523
Oh, you mean he took sadistic glee in hunting down and locking up friends and people he respected? He reveled in his new-found power for the sake of power, and betrayed his standing with the Avengers for the sake of a government job?
Is that what you want to argue, anon?
Civil War was the least terrible option. Richards worked out the math and the Thinker confirmed it.
>>95291620
He's always nice to his girlfriends until they are killed.
Deep down Tony Stark is jealous of Hank's success of casually making an intelligence that's a galactic level threat, bizarre as it may be. Tony struggles with always making better machines to meet the next challenge, but Hank struggles with trying not to make them too smart or too good.
Tony was barely out of roller-skates when Hank made a fully intelligent autonomous vehicle (which was never evil).
>>95292093
>Tony struggles with always making better machines
Nnnnno. That's not 'struggling'.
>>95292464
name one non-weapon thing stark has ever done. So far the greatest thing he's done is the EXTREMIS 3.0 and he used it to get a whole city addicted.
>>95291870
>Richards worked out the math
Richards is good with numbers. Not so good with people.
>and the Thinker confirmed it.
Well, there's a good reason to think it was all bullshit.
>>95285329
He's had Janet and Tigra after his dick. That's pretty good in my book.
>>95292794
>>95292724
>name one non-weapon thing stark has ever done
Stark Phones?
>>95292843
Exactly, the one he used to get SanFran addicted to extremis, he just CAN'T help himself from turning anything into a weapon of some sort.
>>95285329
What happened to hank, why does he look like he screwed up the fusion dance ?
>>95285933
Well, since he's in the middle of another mental episode, marry her, or give her a kid or something.
Does anything happen to him at the end of Secret Empire?
>>95285865
What was Tony's plan here?
>>95287614
We will never know and thats the beauty of it. This is literally a moment about asking Pym needing to have faith in a God.
>>95293327
Probably to provoke him and prove that he's still an abuser.
Tony likes to goad people and then has no foresight for what his goading does.
Guy's a cocky little shit, no matter what iteration.
>>95287442
That just seems petty... of the writer. I don't mind the idea of Loki disguising himself and tricking Pym, but only if there's a reason for it, beyond just to gut punch Pym for no gain.
>>95287643
It's a sad cycle. Every writer feels like they have to bring it up because every writer before them has brought it up because every writer before them etc.
Meanwhile, heroes like Spider-Man and Mr. Fantastic get away with the exact same shit because, for whatever reason, writers were willing to just sweep it under the rug.
>>95287785
They should have made a thing out of using these, THEY STILL SHOULD WITH THE NEW GALACTUS. Also:
>Norman Obsorn
I see what you did there.
>>95287794
"Hey shouldnt we..."
"no matter who dies, we all win."
>>95285834
How many decades have you been waiting to post that gem?
>>95289334
I wish Pym would zoom up items more now, it's pretty cool
>>95289040
I don't think Tony is a loved one.
The Remender Secret Avengers and Rage of Ultron were quite stellar.
>>95285865
This perfectly illustrates why Secret Empire sucks: None of the heroes have the moral high ground to criticize Pym, or Cap on their mistakes.
>>95285865
Is this LFY's art? His art really needs a good colorist, otherewise you end up with IvX tier shit
>>95294405
That's how Tony feels, but Pym is such a whiney jerk that he craves validation and acceptance from Stark.
>>95293048
naw he's going to probably say hi to his daughter
>>95288830
anon Loki was one of the only people that didn't get caught in secret wars
>>95292724
He signed the checks for some super satellite thing in space to be built.
Shit, best I can think of is Javis.
>>95292834
>Robots
>Furries
>Size manipulation women
Shit Hank had the trifecta. Nomination to be Pimp Supreme.
>>95285874
It's going to happen. Hank Pym is going to save everything
Do you guys think Hank + Janet will ever be status quo again? I mean it's pretty clear that they'll never be able to get over each other, all their other relationships are doomed to fail.
>>95296969
Only in better continuities
>>95296969
All it really takes is one writer who likes them together. Johns was paving the way for it before he jumped ship to DC.
>>95285865
These pages are the best in the entirety of SE.
The fact that they're "kinda ok" says a lot.
>>95297037
and one to return to status quo
>>95296969
It would have been guaranteed if they never went with the dumbass idea of making Hank old in the MCU.
>>95285329
I want that apron.
>>95285865
>That second page
Tony BTFO
Although I'm not impressed to be honest, anyone can btfo him.
a true hero
>>95287643
Stark had his own comic, Pym didn't have a long running book at any point in his history so he doesn't get the same treatment.
>>95296969
See, as much as I appreciate Hank+Janet, fucking Remender and his Uncanny Avengers actually endeared me to Havok+Janet. Granted, as far as I can tell, it (and their daughter) will never be mentioned again, especially if Havok stays SIXIS'D forever, but it was definitely an interesting idea while it lasted.
