If no one liked it why did it have so many episodes? It was awful and a lot of sites back in the early 2000s criticized this show for stealing the airtime away from The Flintstones and Looney Tunes. It was awful so why did it get so many seasons if no one liked it?
>>
>No one liked Dexters Lab

Anon...
>>
>>95272792
>If no one liked it

why the hell do you think that
>>
>>95272818
>>95272813
Because everyone in my high school back in 1999 hated it and like The Flintstones and The Jetsons more. Keep in mind that CN overplayed this crappy show back then
>>
>>95272847
>back then
>>
>>95272847
I seriously doubt anyone in high school liked Jetsons and Flintstones.
>>
>>95272847
>this crappy show

the truth comes out
fuck off anon Dexter is top quality
>>
>>95272912
They were better than Dexter though
>>
>>95272917
Nobody ever found out he was a serial killer though.
>>
>>95272792
If it got a lot of episodes then that means ratings were good and sales of any toys were good.
>>
>>95272792
Seriously, I think this show was really unpopular and CN just wanted to overhype this show.

Nick did the same thing. To all you /co/ people out there. Look up the show CatDog. Nick played the show a ton, marathoned the show, aired new episodes 5 days a week, had a ton of merchandise, and aired multiple promos in the span of a year.
>>
>>95272953
Uh, Camp Lazlo got a ton of episodes too. You wouldn't really call that show successful. Same with Gym Partner
>>
pretty weak bait
>>
>>95273061
Yeah really. Especially with teenagers liking old 50s cartoons better.
>>
>>95272985
There's a reason people remember loads of Dexter's Lab moments but only remember CatDog's theme song.
>>
>>95273015
>Camp Lazlo got a ton of episodes too. You wouldn't really call that show successful.
I would.
>>
>>95272985
i liked catdog.
>>
>>95273106
No. No one watched Camp Lazlo. It wasnt as successful as Rocko. There's a reason people remember loads of Rocko moments but dont remember Lazlo
>>
>>95273112
Why
>>
>>95273127
I don't remember. But I watched and liked it.
>>
>>95273125
I watched it
All I remember is the meatman because that was fucked up
>>
>>95272847
>Because everyone in my high school back in 1999 hated it

>in my high school
>high school
Well there you go, it's a kids show not a teen show. Of course they wouldn't be keen on the show.
>>
>>95273127
I liked it too, it was a fun show. Nothing amazing but entertaining to watch.
>>
>>95272792
IT was great, everyone likes it

Yet I doubt you'll find many people who know any names of any of the characters.

one is named cat and the other one is dog

The people who wrote that are most like dead atm because they are so old.
>>
>>95272847
it wasnt cool to like Dexter's Laboratory. it was cool to like...Linkin park or Limp bizkit or something. the nerd clique cared more about Magic the Gathering cards, and pokemon eventually
>>
>>95273728
Cat, Dog, Winslow, Girl greaser dog was Shriek.

That's all I remember without looking up the characters. I remember the green rabbit but not their name.
>>

There's your problem. You're no different than the 4channers of today complaining about all the new stuff.
>>

kek
>>
>>95272847
Well faggot, in my high school in 1999 we love it. My high school is blocks away from CN and they gave Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, and Cow and Chicken book covers and we thought it was great.
>>
>>95274031
Rancid Rabbit, I remember because he was an asshole and had a green color like rancid meat.
>>

Woah...why don't wwe just ditch the census and survey your class, buddy?

>If no one liked it why did it have so many episodes?
Self-defeating loaded question. It wasn't disliked, because it survived as long as it did since it attracted viewers.
>It was awful
Not really. Even the Savino seasons that people harp on were still better than those dinosaurs it "stole airtime from". Anyone saying that they wanted more Flintstones or Jetsons or Looney Tunes were the usenet equivalent of today's John K fags who bitch about CalArts yet think that putrid Hanna-Barbera/Warner Bros default style is what every cartoon should look like.
>>
>>95275287
I agree with this image. The shows on the left were really mostly early 2000's, in most of the 90's it was all Hanna/Barbara toons.
>>
>>95275287
this, being home sick from school in the 90s was awful because CN showed nothing but Scooby Doo from like 10am-4pm
>>
>>95275287
What is with Johnny's pants and shoes?
>>
>>95272847
Dexter's lab was my favorite cartoon on television from the day I first saw it until the powerpuff girls eclipsed it.
>>
>>95273600
I know exactly what is going on in this picture, and I cant remember shit about catdog. Moments like this were why Dexter's Lab was golden.
>>
>>95277952

It's what tickles me when anons complained about TTG being overplayed during the day and before that Johnny Test

CN daytime has been a wasteland since its inception and it bred in me a hate for Scooby Doo it took decades to shake
>>
>>95275287
Not enough Scooby Doo on the right.
>>
Jetsons and Flinstones were objectively shit. They were boring, unfunny sitcoms with the same cliche characters as every other sitcom except it's the future and past.

It's the sad result of monopolized television. Scooby was the only halfway decent Hannah Barbera and even dull as hell.

Also Dexter was pure gold. Not even nostalgiafagging. I hate Johnny Bravo just as much as the Flinstones.

>French version of Dexter's laboratory
>he still say "Omelette du fromage' instead of "Cheese egg"

Doesn't help that the simpsons had a episode where Bart get stuck in Paris and despite talking in French the entire time, nobody gave a shit. They should at least force their ass to switch the language for English
>>
>>95273728
Cat Dog and shadman
theres also those 3 other dogs, the rabbit and weird catbutt
>>
>>95279265
For twenty fucking years?
>>
>>95274031
There was also a bird named Lola. And I think the other two dogs were Lou and Cliff.
>>
>>95272847
>high school back in 1999
Holy shit, what are you doing out of the rest home, grandpa?
>>
>>95273061
And yet so many bites. Bad form /co/.
>>
>>95272792
Because it's CN. I mean, they've done the same thing with TTG
>>
>>95281718
That's the joke.
>>
>>95279285
Omelette du fromage is gramatically wrong, correct way to spell it would be Omelette au fromage. Propably why they left it, it would still be nonsense but then they could make a joke about Americans trying to speak French.
>>
Dexter's Lab is a childhood favourite of mine and I recently rewatched it for nostalgia. It doesn't hold up a well as I thought it did. One issue that stands out is how abruptly some episodes end without a proper conclusion or satisfying ending.
