The Smurfs was honestly a really great show. Why do people consider the 80s a dark age for animation when you had shows like this, DuckTales, G.I. Joe, etc.?
>>
>>95252480
isn't 80' animation just a big toy commercial?
>>
>>95252609
Yes, and it was great.
>>
Anyone?
>>
>>95252480
I thought the consensus was that the 70s was the worst decade for animation.

The 80's was honestly a great time for animation. The Smurfs, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Gummi Bears, DuckTales, The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse, etc.
>>
>>95255063
What a smurf!
>>
>>95252480
DuckTales was made in the late 80s, as the perception of animation started to lighten up more. By the very end, there was Roger Rabbit, The Simpsons, Don Bluth's best movies and the start of the Disney Renaisance
>>
>>95255063
its really sad that one of the earliest cartoon comic porn on the internet is about smurfs and how it is lost in time
>>
>>95257620
?
>>
>>95257866
one of the earliest drawn porn on the internet was a badly drawn comic about smurfs and nobody has the complete version of it anymore
>>
>>95257887
Oh. That IS sad.
>>
>>95252480
80s were alright. Mainly 1986 onward, though. Real Ghostbusters, Transformers, Garfield and Friends, Disney Afternoon and Disney Renaissance started.
>>
>>95257887
Is this the one about 'Smucking Day', where all the Smurfs gangbang Smurfette?
>>
>>95259355
no, the one you are talking about is actually inspired by the first one it was basically about smurf village trying to repopulate so they start fucking with a bird then a squirrel then rabbits and lastly smurfette

All storks exterminated?
>>
BTW I thought the eighties had enough good animation.
>>
>>95260196
you seem to know a lot about the history of smurf porn
>>
>>95259355
Why Smurfette was the last option?
>>
>>95257887
I'd be surprised if it wasn't buried somewhere on one of the remaining usenet archives. ABPEC had practically everything uploaded to it at one time or another.

>>95257950
And Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures, which was the springboard for Ren & Stimpy.
>>
The later half of the 80's was a real awesome time for animation, it just gets overshadowed by the Nicktoons and Cartoon Cartoons.
>>
>>95256860

and things like Rubik cube the cartoon.
>>
Reminder that the very late 80s brought us Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers and Beetlejuice.

In fact, Rescue Rangers aired most of its episodes in the 80s as 47/65 of the episodes aired in that decade
>>
>>95265334

so that show was archaic even by the 90s standards?
>>
>>95252480
We all grew up on Smurfs. Every people who is now 20+ or 30+ remembers how good this cartoon was.

Back in 2006 it was on cable TV station, I can say it's was popular and it's still popular to this day. For me as polish person, the intro song was memorable:

That was also a nice cartoon
>>
>>95265636
Yep, it's still a relevant show that's still on air in several places. Like here in Hunfag country, I see it on television all the time, and there was some big buzz recently about the release of those parts of the show that haven't been dubbed before.
TV networks and viewers here don't care about most animated shows that are all the rage elsewhere. We don't get anime, there's no Rick and Morty, and all current cartoons on kids' channels are constantly being shat on. But the Smurfs man, people fucking love that shit.
