Fuck, I'm pretty sure the original Kickstarter described it as an adventure game, and the original studio that was hired (Odd Gentlemen), the one that ran off with the money specialized in adventure games (in fact, they spent that money they stole on a King's Quest reboot).

I mean, entire shtick of MS Paint Adventures as a website is emulating parser-based adventure games like King's Quest. You know, "Get ye flask" ones. Entire point of Sylladex was parodying overly complex adventure game inventory systems.

Adventure game is definitely the most logical choice at adapting the flow of MSPA/Homestuck - "command/result; command/result."

As a backer...no, they never asked backers for more money. That's fucking stupid. There might have been a period of time where they opened up the ability to back outside of kickstarter after it ended, but that's fairly common.

Also what evidence is there that What Pumpkin embezzled? I never heard about that. Of course it was poorly managed; they had to scrap prototypes and even shut the first WP game studio and make a new one, but I don't see how they would've "embezzled" after TOG was out of the picture.

Even despite that I don't really regret backing it. I'll know exactly how disappointed to feel then, and at the very least I get the soundtrack so one good thing should come out of it.
