I think it's at just the right level of popularity, where it hits the perfect balance between obscure and mainstream. It's not underappreciated, but it's also not overrated.

I've recently started reading Hellboy because of his Injustice reveal and I've really been enjoying it. So far I've read Seeds of Destruction and Wake the Devil, and I'm curious does it stay at this level of quality or is there a drop off?

Anyone know what happened with Baltimore? It started semi-rocky but then I really got into it. Then there was an artist change and the last storyline felt like a rushed obligation. Shame cause there was some good stuff in there.

Frankly I think part of the problem is one of scope. How do you end a tale that got that big? For the first however many volumes, it was Baltimore and friends hunting clues and hints and putting out brush fires. How to end it when you turn it into a grand obvious public war? That's where things lost their atmosphere.
