Can the Odinson save Marvel?
>>
>>95110685
No, replace him with Jane.
>>
>>95110719
I like Whor and Hemsworth isn't doing it for me so I'm ok with this.

It must suck when you want Marvel to fail so badly and they just keep succeeding.

I think you guys are forgetting that means bringing Natalie Portmans boring/pointless ass version of Jane back.

Unless the entire movie is going to be Fem Thor and her perky busty sidekick Darcy, who really wants to see that?
>>
>>95110685
I get that you didn't like it but to imply that most people didn't is stupid. Guardians and Strange and such did stupidly good.
>>
>>95110685
Should he? Marvel's been treating Thor like shit in most every instance.

Can /tv/ please go?

GotG did well, literally no one expected a billion dollars but falseflagging shitposters on /tv/, Homecoming has actually grossed more than either ASM movie with the lowest budget of any Spidey movie without even being out in China yet and the tv shows have nothing to do with the studio branch and even then IF and Defenders did great with ratings.

Inhumans is the only negative here. How desperate can you get, OP?
>>
>>95110844
I haven't seen the new guardians yet but didn't they combine a bunch of different characters into one living planet?
>>
>>95112580
>Who really wants to see that
I do.
>>
>>95110685
The only one of those that sucked was fucking Homecoming and you know that you shill! But yes I think the Odinson can redeem the blunder that was Iron Lad.
>>
>>95110844

This. It also shows how I swear to God Marvel just goes without whatever casuals think looks cool. Like Planet Hulk was the most iconic recent thing Hulk as done and it stands out with him being in armor and everything.

So BOOM make that a movie. How? Who gives a fuck. It'll sell merch of gladiator Hulk.
>>
>>95112409
In fact, China is predicted to push Homecoming to 900 mil territory, the highest grossing Spider-Man film

Adam Sandler shows are also one of the most binged movies on Netflix, this proves that the average consumer has shit taste and would just watch it because of brand power

>Iron Man 3 made tons of money guys!

So where is IM4? The point is it makes money because people pay before they see the product. If it's of shit quality, they aren't going back for another product. When Iron Man 3 was shilled by Marvel's marketing department, they got almost 100% negative feedback. DVD sales were nothing, it's ratings aren't even good enough to get put on FX!
>>
>>95110685
It literally has no competition until Star Wars maybe Coco
>>
>>95115103
>The point is it makes money because people pay before they see the product. If it's of shit quality, they aren't going back for another product.
I don't think Marvel cares
>>

>One of the most binged shows on Netflix

Because of its bad publicity. I bet you think Bayformers is great because it does gangbusters.

Guardians only made $100 Million more than the first one. Studios don't like that.

Spider Man barely outgrossed the TASM films and it had Iron Man in it. Underperformed.
>>
>>95115348
>Underperformed
Kek. It's literally projected to near $900 million in its China run, making it the highest grossing Spider-Man film before inflation. It's also made a ton more domestically than both ASM films, with a much smaller budget
>>
>>95115103
Don't be stupid, if that were true we wouldn't have gotten another Iron Man after Iron Man 2, which might be the worst film in the MCU.

That's because they can't do a Hulk movie without having to allow Universal distribution money.
>>

>still memeing that Spider-Man underpeformed

You people are more pathetic than marvelcucks
>>
>>95114441
They made Ego the remaining awareness of a celestial and had him make a human avatar that looks in line with Starlord's dad in the comics. They didn't really combine any other characters to my knowledge.
>>
>>95110844
>>95115796
I heard something about that, Marvel has rights to Hulk himself, but if they do a Hulk standalone movie they have to pay Universal.

So they can have Hulk be in as many movies as they want so long as it isn't his own.
>>
>>95110877

They don't have time to do it. They gotta squeeze it in here or not at all.
>>
>>95115897

Universal essentially passed on a sequel. Tentative release date was 2012. They passed before avengers came out. After it had come out they had pitched another sequel for a 2015 or 2016 release date. Universal passed again. They are literally holding out to keep less competition in places they wanted to release movies. They released Bourne movies on the proposed dates marvel pitched them.

the fuck? They only care if a sequal makes the same as the previous. They keep making Pirates movies even though they never preform better. A modest drop for a sequal is celebrated by studios

Bitch, we don't all believe everything the press says. I mean they're right about DCU failing utterly on every conceivable level and they're right about most Marvel movies and shows being God-tier, but their trashing of Iron Fist was mostly due to their bogus political concerns over 'whitewashing'.

Good movies aren't about making the most money. Look at DCEU, they made less AND got far worse fan and critic reviews. That's the sign of a good movie. Feminist propaganda: The movie, written and directed by stronk females is the exception to this
>>
>>95115348
So every marvel movie needs to bring in a billion to be a success? Jesus S. Christ thats is some fucking unreasonable bullshit. If Disney had that mindset they would burn down the studio for insurance money.

I can't wait for Spiderman to breeze past WW once it starts in China. It just needs to make 60 million to do that. (Doctor Strange made 109 million in China, just for reference)

I really didn't see this coming, but here we are.
>>
>>95110685
It's a shame that these movies make to much money for Marvel to try and improve them. The writing in the MCU has taken a nosedive after TWS. Civil War had godawful choreography. Ant-Man was bland all around. GoTG was trying way to hard to be a comedy, and the sequel even more so. AoU's writing was all over the place. Doctor Strange was boring for the most part, but the CGI was great. Homecoming, like GoTG, wanted to rely heavily on comedy but failed in every way. Despite their problems these movies make too much money for Marvel to change anything, and that's what hurts me the most.
>>
>>95116742
HOLY SHIT did you actually like Iron Fist?

Fucking how?
Weak choreography, dude couldn't act in GoT and can't act here, not enough fisting.
>>
>>95110685

>>
>>95110685
Why is he so skinny nowadays? In fact why are superheroes in general more skinny than they used to be? I miss impossibly jacked, anatomically incorrect superheroes and heroines :-(
>>
>>95122069
Not that guy but I had such low expectations going into it, it was actually better than expected. However would agree with you it's not good and if I wasn't expecting total dogshit, or if I was a fan of the character, I'd have been really pissed off. To add to your points, they made Danny seem like such an unlikeable, weak, bufty cunt and they never made clear what the various bad guys' intentions were (if they did it was during points where I fell asleep). I genuinely disliked him the most out of all the characters in the show, apart from the sister of the other guy
>>
>>95122224
Well too bad Marvel's gonna go on being successful forever

DC is still going down in flames though so we can enjoy that
