I hate setup seasons so goddamn much no matter the show. Writers spend entire seasons just showing how split up characters meet up in the end or how every little thing a character does is leading up to a confrontation and when you finally figure out what is going on with the plot the fucking season ends.

I originally watched it as a guilty pleasure, I liked the story that was just thick enough to provide excuse for girls doing super martial arts, but thin enough to not distract from it.

Things like the unusual animation and use of recoil physics were of interest to me
