Gold is mediocre, sometimes worse than that. It is a waifufag Kitty Pryde book.

Blue is good, but with a team no one liked, and often bad art because of the double shipping. Sometimes the first pages have good art and the last ones bad art. All over the place because of rushing.

Gen X is good, but divisive art and not a very popular cast (last issue was about eyeboy)

Astonishing is very good and feels like the first great xmen book since Spurrier's X-Men Legacy

Iceman is pretty good, Iceman was so boring making him gay may be what he needed, in the same way Archangel helped make Angel interesting.

Jean Grey is ok, every issue is about her visiting a different guest character for training. The Emma Frost issues will be the first multi issue story arc.

Fuse Iceman, Angel and Cyclops with their older selves. This means, they are pretty much their older selves with a few extra memories of the O5 about the year they spent in the future.
It would also mean deaging those characters a few years, if the new fused versions have the average age between the O5 and the old X-Men. For example Cyclops would go from being like 32 to 25.

Turn young Beast into a Magical Villain, like Dark Beast but about Magic.

Astonishing sucks

I just do not care about the team at all, no one seems to care that Bishop murdered billions of people, no one knows what Warren's current status quo is anymore, Old Man Logan is so fucking boring,

Jean is Jean, you newbs are meeting non-Phoenix-fucked Jean for the first time, I assure you: that is who the real Jean is supposed to be. Please don't bitch until Marvel folds and destroys the classic Jeanie.
Demonically fucked Hank is going to one day have a very interesting heart-to-heart with The Goblin Queen who SPOILER!: will want to help him as a friend . So the merging of Hanks will have to wait until after that.
And Baby Angel is becoming the "good" angel version, as opposed to a metal-winged Satan. Don't expect them to write that awesome contradiction away anytime soon.

Id like to see a story (something I think was done years ago) about Dark Beast visiting the Guthries.
All the siblings of Cannonball would or should be mutants. Husk is one, Icarus (dead), was one. and Elizabeth, like Cannonball, was an evil mutant in AoA with Giganta powers. Pic Related.
Like the Cyclops-Havok-Vulcan family, the Guthries have the perfect genes for producing only mutant kids.


IIRC Dark Beast visited a Guthrie brother some years ago promising to unlock his mutant powers, but failed and almost killed him.

I think every consequence of House of M should be erased. After AvX and IvX, Marvel should allow the X-Men franchise to grow again, in their own corner, as it was in the 80s and 90s.

Another thing Id like to see is for Ruby Summers to be born, even if it means Emma got some teen Cyclops sperm in the last issues of Blue. Layla Miller told Scott and Emma they should name their daughter Ruby.

"Changed" is subjective.
It seems to have been temporary for Kitty, Gamora, and Thane.
And they opted for the permanent change.
TwinkBobby got the ice-cube body upgrade that BigBobby had eventually figured out on his own. No real change there.
Groot was perma-changed until recently being pruned down to adorable scale. Who knows how he'll come out of that as.
Angel seems to be the only permanent alteration, mirroring Archangel's evil transformation by Apocalypse using Celestial tech.
But does that really count? It's just reestablishing his destiny.
Then there's Tyke ... for certain *reasons* Phoenix ... the Celestials could only really mildly tweak his mind/heart, even the upgrade he got was just the same optic blast Originalclops had been using post-Phoenix possession, but that doesn't matter anyway because everyone from Xavier to Sinister has defiled his brain already and CrazyEmma was waiting next in line.
