anyway the point is gems both their hard light bodies an their actual gems are more often ahown to be durable as fuck then the other way around when the plot NEEDS them to get hurt like with Amethyst in cracked gem.

Amethyst cracks her gem after falling on a rock from a top a cliff. Her terminal velocity is about the same as a humans I'd I imagine considering she moves and weighs about as much as a human does. So honestly just something high in penetrating power with a significant amount of force behind it would work. A sniper rifle with armour piercing rounds would do it.

No need to nuke beach city just to take out three gems. Garnets future vision would prove hard to deal with, but she's probably the least nimble of the three, so a couple of well placed snipers would cut it. Even if they couldn't kill her without proofing her like they could with amethyst and pearl, the only question now is how many rounds could Garnets form take before proofing. Considering pearl was poofed after being stabbed in a training exercise by a hologram, I'd say not to many.

The only thing to wonder now is, if you shot pear directly in the gem would her light body's head explode in a fabulous fireworks display after being shot.

I think it's a case of penetration vs impact force. I don't think a flint lock musket firing a lead ball would kill them but a high impact over low surface area would. That's why they can be punched across a room or hit with tons of water but one sword stab and they poof their light form.

I haven't seen the series, but they probably can't detect something going near the speed of light out of the blue and it'll be small enough that you wouldn't notice it astronomically, yet it'll have enough power to glass the whole area.

You land on earth after an exhausting chasing in space by homeworld gems.
You fight them on ground, the CG find you struggling, they indentify who's the enemy and decide to help you.
Still you don't put your trust on them.
As always, Steven is the only one who will come close to talk you, so you stop fighting by yourself and consider be part of the CG.
It takes you some episodes, but you finally agree.
You manage to find the breaking point and keep it for yourself as a secret weapon.
You wait a bunch of episodes, space arcs, townies, a posible movie, some failed fusions, one successful fusion, inclusion in a game, fanfics, fanart, porn, etc...
At the end, you "backstab" him with the breaking point.
You can say that it was your whole intention all along and stuff.
The CG will be helpless without him, i mean he's not only the shield, also the soul of the group.
You just pray your intentions are not foreseen by Sapphire(Garnet) and everything might be fine.

See, that would be super difficult. Garnet's Future Vision works on things she is focused on, and she's always focused on Steven, which is why he's rarely ever in mortal danger.

Any time she ever suspects he's in trouble, the only reason she never immediately jumped to the rescue was because she either saw Pearl or Amethyst save him, or saw him get out of it on his own. Or he was in a situation where he shouldnt have been in danger so she never bothered to check (no one knew Jasper was at the Kindergarten, or that she'd attack at the beach, but even then Garnet knew that Stevonnie would help or that Amethyst could hold her off until she and Pearl returned).

As much as people think Garnet is the only Gem who lets Steven do his own thing, its really only because she knows when to actually intervene.

The key would be to distract Garnet with a bigger threat or keep her from reaching Steven in time, which would be difficult if she looked far enough into the future to know when you'd try anything.

Her Future Vision is way more OP than Sapphire's, since she can actually do something about it.

As much of a beating as Pearl took, none of it was a direct hit from Sugilite's mace, which would have likely pulverized her in one hit.

The gem itself is the actual weak spot, so Amethyst taking a direct hard impact on it was enough to crack it.

Also, as strong as any Gem is physically, an attack with a weapon from another Gem is much more effective than hand-to-hand. Jasper beat the shit out of Amethyst for a few minutes before one-shotting her with the helmet. Beating them isnt enough, you need to completely pulverize them, or pierce/shred their form. A bomb might throw them around, but get large pieces of shrapnel would tear them up enough to poof them.

Bazooka= doubt it if they cover their gem
Sniper= if they aren't seen by Garnet, blocked by her gauntlets or Steven's shield, yes. If you hit the gem, double likely to perma-kill them, or at least disrupt their ability to maintain their form

Garnet swims in lava and Amethyst is at least partly fireproof. Steven can float somewhat. Pearl's probably the only one you could end that way, if the others don't save her in time.

Just dont make Garnet in any way suspicious, or she'll monitor you and make it impossible.

Well it's pretty simple really. First of all make friends with Steven, because he's the easiest to manipulate. Convince him of your assets and earn the trust of the other gems. The way the series is progressing, it looks like the gems will be taking out the most powerful gem beings anyway. In the meantime you study more about their personal weaknesses and flaws. When almost all the big bads are finished, start aggravating the heel face turns within the group, like Lapis and Peridot. Eventually there will be few gems left. Start turning other humans against them, start pointing out how threatening they are and have been to the Earth. As powerful as they are, I doubt they can match the combined forces of the earth military. When only Steven and Connie are left, kill them in their sleep. They are not seasoned warriors and if you kill Connie first you got em in the bag.

Take ruby out first. Then sapphire will be to distraught to function. Take out ruby, you eliminate 3 threats at once. Future vision, Garnet fusion, and Ruby rage. Pearl and Amythest are so dependant on Garnet that they'll be easier to take out after removing Garnet from play. To get Steven, literally hold any of his human friends hostage. He won't let the Gems go after you if he thinks it will endanger, say, Connie. Connie would be ideal as it eliminates Stevonnie as a threat. Get her as a hostage immediately after sniping Ruby and you can basically get Steven to submit to anything.

Without Garnet or Steven, the rest will be no problem.

Unless Lapis comes into play. I have no contingency for her.

everyone here has missed the boat. there is one simple way to accomplish this mission: force Steven to do it

sneak into Connie's house in the dark of night and kidnap her. take here somewhere that is the furthest from gem warp pads. tell Steven you have her and if he wants to ever see her again he has to do exactly what you say. tell him he has to shatter and bubble every gem on earth. tell him Gems can always be revived, but humans cannot, especially if you grind her body into dust so he can't use his healing powers. if he does as he's asked, he will get her back safe and sound. the rest takes care of itself. Garnet would never consider this a possibility and future vision wouldn't come into play.

after Steven does the deed, tell him there's still one gem left, and point to the one in his stomach. tell him Connie will be safe and much happier once all the gems are gone. once he sacrifices himself, kill Connie too
