Why are adult animated TV shows fairly common and easy to sell

Short answer, it's less of a financial risk to do a tv show compared to a theatrical release.

Well, if Sausage Party wasn't every Seth Rogen film but animated, it could've been animation's Deadpool and led to a serious adult animated film like Logan. But this was made by Sony, so what did we expect?

Why is America the only big animation producing country where like serious adult animation doesn't happen at all? Stuff like Archer,Rick and Morty, Bojack and Sausage Part is comedy right.

Yeah despite being regarded as a sitcom I'd say Bojack is the closest out of them. Other than that I guess I got ahead of myself and forgot like Bakshi movies, A Scanner Darkly and Anomalisa . That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.
