Yay!
Fuck that looks painful
What I don't get is how is this Loki still around?
Behold new Loki! Just like the old Loki! But better this time. Also has he shown up in anything since Secret Wars ended or are current Marvel writers just going to pretend this didn't happen?
>>94881009
Wasn't there a new Loki comic, Vote Loki or something like that?
>>94881086
I actually completely forgot about that series. I don't think I have ever seen it storytimed
>>94881148
Yeah, it was another waste of print money by Marvel it seems. I mean, I heard it was decent despite the bad art, but what was the point of publishing something that no one was going to buy anyway?
>>94881193
>I'm not sure about the ears.
Ewing has got to be a Doctor Who fan. Also this is seriously one sexy Loki. Both versions.
Unrelated to this thread, but if I one day storytimed the Marvel Adventures Universe would people be interested? I'm thinking I might do this after I have the Millarverse and Powers out of the way.
>>94880794
>Daft Punk
Alright, I giggled. Thank you, Ewing.
I think Hela is very quickly becoming my waifu in the Marvel Universe.
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!?!?! JESUS CHRIST!!!!
>Magic Minigun
Ewing is too good for Marvel
I wonder if this is how Daredevil feels. Knowing instantly when someone is lying to you. Must suck to have to go along with it.
=(
For everyone wondering how a Doom series by Ewing would feel like, he wrote him in Iron Man Final Frontier too
It's also where he introduced his particular take on Marvel Magic
>>94880857
>>94880878
I liked this bit very much. It's completely respectful to what Gillen wrote and the direction it took Loki, while still giving it a unique spin and an unexpected aim.
I just bought Millar's run on Marvel Knights: Spider-Man. God do I love ebay
Somehow that doesn't sound reassuring
>Puts on sunglasses.
I love it
>>94881984
We Kirby now
>>94881994
>Sigurd is black
BETA RAY BILL!!!! Fucking based!
I'm glad to see Loki is done with these jokers.
Yes. Yes I would.
>>94881148
It's ok once you get used to the art.
>>94881009
He's still showing up in the JaneThor comics where he's in the background playing some sort of long con by working with Malekith. In the last issue he was comparing dads with the Queen of Cinders.
And now we've reached the final issue of Loki! It's been a wild ride
So does that mean Slott's series gets Ewing's seal of approval?
>>94881618
Ewing has a penchant for giving gods modern weapons, yeah?
They didn't want to reach the end of their story. Love it
=(
Gotta say, this is a fucking fantastic ending. Everything I wanted and more
Now that Secret Wars is upon us, I'm gonna storytime Captain Britain and the Mighty Defenders. It's a fun little two issue adventure that I think most will enjoy. Then it will be onto Contest of Champions
>>94880794
Man this run is good
>>94882859
It had been a while since I read it but I gotta say it's better than I remember. I think Ewing might be becoming one of my new favorite writers. Dude knows how to tell a story and pay homage to the past without it seeming hokey. I'm actually fucking pumped for Contest of Champions after this Secret Avengers tie in.
>>94882094
BILL! Fucking Hels, Ewing...
>>94882415
He's just drawing from Simonson.
>>94883035
I actually havent' read any of Simonson. Care to point a brother in the right direction?
>Unrelated note, a prior anon mentioned in a thread that I should storytime Millar's Spider-Man. While I couldn't storytime it meow because it would interfere with this thread, would people show up if I started midday? Like around noon?
I hated how Thor!Jen wore a regular She-Hulk costume instead of a new Thor design. The "hammer" is clever though.
>>94881280
Ewing wrote some a run featuring the 11th Doctor so yeah he's a fan.
Just purchased Millar's Marvel Knights Spider-Man. Part of me thinks I wasted the money while the other part of me thinks I just purchased the best Spider-Man story to come out in the last decade. If anyone can recommend a better long running Spidey story that matches Marvel Knights I'd love to hear.
>>94883259
That's awesome to hear. I just started exploring the Big Finish titles and they are fucking amazing. I'm finishing the up War Doctor's series (Infernal Machines was the bomb) and then I'm going to continue with the 8th Doctor Adventures because Paul McGann is an amazing Doctor
>>94883078
Oh right, she was from the Age of Ultron reality, one of the very first Ewing works for Marvel if not the first.
Why not storytiming that along with the other couple of Avengers Assemble issues he penned?
>>94883555
I honestly didn't know he penned issues in Avengers's Assemble. It was hard enough to collect and organize these
>>94882656
That's up there with Captain Britain and MI13's ending.
>>94883594
He wrote Avengers Assemble 14.AU, 15.AU, and 20
#15 is where Captain Faiza comes from, honestly pretty good
#14 is a bit forgettable but I guess it's Ewing's first legit Marvel issue, and #20 is a good Avengers story with an old Busiek feeling
>>94881009
Get ready folks! It's time for Pirate Loki!
>>94883730
>muslim waving the flag of the UK
Too easy.
>>94883760
I actually don't have those issues. I'll look into collecting them. Also, it's time for All-New All Different Point One which serves as the precursor to Contest of Champions
>>94883174
>I actually havent' read any of Simonson. Care to point a brother in the right direction?
This was JMS' run...Bill was a guy in Broxton who fell in love with an Asgardian chick and her with him. Bill died trying to save a group of Asgardians and is now in Valhalla. One of the cool/sweet subplots in the JMS run.
I wish I had a solid opinion on Carnage. On the one hand, he's a genocidal monster and one of the toughest enemies Spider-Man could ever face, and on the other he's something an edgy 15 year old dreamt up.
>>94883998
It's just a somehow edgier Joker with a symbiote, probably one of the laziest ideas for a supervillain I've ever seen.
I wonder what happened to this Sentry.
>>94884505
Does anyone who isn't a complete and utter shill even like Agents of SHIT?
>>94881009
Favorite Loki design. Especially the girl version

MARVEL *clap* CIVILIANS *clap* ARE *clap* RETARDED *clap*
>>94884871
I said "anyone who isn't a complete and utter shill"
>>94884895
I am not going to disagree with anything you posted. I've found both the Inhumans and the X-Men to be unreadable these days, only the Inhumans are bigger cunts and are nothing better than a science experiment gone arwy and they literall treat themselves like royalty. The entire inhuman culture can get fucked
>>94884933
I find the show more than watchable. Better than Arrow and Flash Season 3 by a longshot. I'm sorry that upsets you. If you'd like, I'd hold you while you cry into my arms if possible. Just know I'm here for you. Always will be
>>94884895
Nobody was hyped for it until Civil war and suddenly people were.
Bendis does it again
>>94884971
I take it you won't do Royals then
>>94884975
People were absolutely hyped for it in IvX.
>>94884999
Civil war 2 was before IvX
>>94885033
Shit sorry, I meant Death of X. Getting my shitty Inhumans events mixed up.
>>94884995
Post the issue numbers and we'll see
>>94885076
Civil war was still before that.
>>94885111
I's Inhumans prime and six issues of royals I don't have any links at the moment
Stick could beat Venom. I don't know about that
And now for the first issue of Contest of Champions!!! Basically I view this as Ewing's version of Secret War
>>94885189
I hate this comicbecause it made me waste a ton of time on that shitty mobile game
>>94885299
>he summoned the fucking britbong Punisher
Yeah, whenever you start playing Contest of Champions you do tend to get the shittiest characters first.
>>94885340
Oh what, he got a decent Gamora? All I have is a shitty 1-star Mass Effect Gamora.
And this is going to be the last issue for me tonight. I hope everyone has enjoyed!!!
Seriously, this comic makes that game look so much more appealing than it actually is. It's like the best ad Kabam could have asked for.
>tfw no Future Fight comic by Ewing
>>94885962
>wanting 20 pages of rolling iso sets
>and 1 page of getting btfo in timeline by Jean
>>94885989
The true experience of a FF player, and all written by Ewing? Sign me the fuck up!
This is so much more enticing than I thought. I thought it was just a cheap cashgrab and I'm glad to see I was wrong on every account
>>94881600
>Jormungand, Loki's child from Norse myth
Part of me really wants to go back and read Future Imperfect by David
Where do you download these from?
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!! Also the fact that they don't even label him the Sentry, they label him the void says enough
And this is going to be it for the night. I hope everyone enjoyed. This has been fun
>>94886093
Even though Injustice is really shitty, it was a real gamechanger when it came to game tie-ins. Long gone are the days of forgettable shit like DC Universe Online Legends or whatever.
>>94886163
Many many many sources
>>94886246

>>94886275
Google is your best friend. I don't have the specific sites on hand. But seriously, it's how I find 90% of the stuff out there.
>>94886163
Go to a Win-O thread and read the OP.
>>94886171
Man, this series is fun (and tragically short-lived)
>>94886468
Right there with ya. If anything this series is making Ewing one of my favorite writers. Fuck the haters. They're just jealous Ewing can deliver high concept works along with tons of callbacks with it being a jumbled mess as opposed to Morrison which needs multiple series of required reading to "get". I might be exaggerating a bit, but the point is still there..
Ewing's Loki run was a perfect follow-up to what Gillen did on JiM.
So so so bummed when Agent of Asgard ended.

what ever happened to this inhuman? did he just disappear once the rest of secret wars was done?
>>94888298
What do you think
>>94885775
Godsdamnit, I miss Phobos.
>>94883192
Jack Magniconte was created by Tom DeFalco in '86. He's from an alternative universe. Similar to a combination of Flash Gordon and Captain America, this star quarterback goes under "All-American" and "Mr. Magnificent" aliases.
>>94884624
Its slightly less obvious, but I like how Mondo City's War Machine >>94883174 is clearly a homage to another 2000AD character, Mek Quake of the ABC Warriors.
Bump for new readers!
