Can anyone help me on this, it was a poignant quote about depression on last night's American Dad on Adult Swim. Either the quote or the episode name would be appreciated.
It's where his Steve has to interview his dad for a class report, but he keeps going off onto how many people he's killed in gruesome ways or how unsatisfied him and Francine are. During the class, Steve calls, and he goes into a monologue of how he's "Only happy for the first five seconds after waking each day," until he remembers the life he's burdened with and going through the motions. Then the teacher kills himself.
I feel that way a lot, so it was kind of a moment of clarity, and I would like to reread it.
Well, here's the clip anon.

Wow, well, I'm going through a bout of depression myself and I'm not really close to that. So thanks for the perspective.
American Dad is master of the B plot

I've been depressed for a while but other people make their depression sound so dramatic, I can't tell if they're genuinely feeling a lot worse than me or if they're indulging themselves and making themselves feel worse in the process.
It also feels like I can't even do depression right.
