This was a horrid misstep for Penny Arcade. Cheap pathos mixed with a cheap joke that doesn't really land. To top it off, the art is garbage. Two of the panels are nearly identical and Mike didn't even draw the background.

First of all, I didn't realize this was PA. Truly horrendous art, look at fucking Sonic. I have never seen someone fuck up such a simple design like that. And assuming those are tears, are we supposed to be touched? It's fucking Sonic, and 90% of Sonic jokes revolve around either how shitty his games are, or Sonic being down on his luck because of how shitty his games are.
