As a kid, the Kenny death's on South Park used to bother me quite a bit. I get that there supposed to, that it's just art, and Kenny's not real, but the fact remains. That it has the power to provokes such a strong reaction in the viewer is a testament to the quality of the show's writing.
Still, a lot of these deaths were more cruel than funny to me. Watching him burn half to death in the movie, and get hacked up on the operating table was especially gruesome. In general, I actually just plain don't like cruelty to characters in movies and television shows. Other examples of this are Eddy from Ed, Edd n' Eddy always getting the stuffing beat out of him while the other kids continue laughing and playing like it was nothing, and some of Squidward's more unfortunate moments in Spongebob.
Does this kinda stuff bother anyone else?
Pic related, this was a really brutal, and out of left field death for Ken!
