We are in the age of shameless viral marketing, my dear anon. Just look at the Emoji movie, universally panned, and still managed to rake in a decent enough amount of cash to justify it's creation from morbidly curious movie goers, simply because the premise was outrageous enough that everyone wanted to chime in say something bad about it, but unwittingly giving it more exposure. Or what about the smug Wendy's meme? People just kept making cute images and porn of Wendy, basically giving them free advertisement. Trust me, the Old Spice guys know damn well what they're doing, and people are gonna eat it up, no doubt.
