I probably heard this through the grapevine from a /v/rigin, but Halo used to have one of the best modding communities out there. I suck at Halo so I can't fathom why, but if I had to guess, its because they would shut up and crunch their mod/map/custom game. They showed it to a few friends, it got popular, and that's why we now have games like Smear the Queer and Duck Hunt, and eventually Bungie took notice we got Forge Mode.

If you're looking for feedback or guidance and want to "shill" your /co/ related project to actual godamn /co/mrades go ahead, just know that pressure is what makes a lump of coal into a diamond. And if you sift enough, you will strike gold.
