Long time no see, Anons! So, remember how I fucked up that whole "post all of Luke and Danny's stories in time for Defenders?" Well, let's try and finish it up anyway.
Someone else is doing Fraction's Defenders, which was where we ended, I already did Fearless Defenders for an April Fool's joke, so now it's time for Ewing's Marvel debut with Mighty Avengers!
>>94784781
What happened to this power man anyways? From what little I saw he had promise to be a cool character
>>94784813
After this series, he ended up joining Ewing's New Avengers.
>>94784652
Welcome back!
obviously you were waiting for the Infinity War Black Order reveal.
>>94785342
... Sure, let's go with that, Anon.
>>94784813
Last he was seen he was teaming up with Blue Marvel's mad scientist son who just changed his name to Iron Fist.
Take a moment to let that one sink in good and deep.
>>94785924
I think they LITERALLY said they'd do it "just so see the look on their faces."
Sadly they've never appeared since.
>>94785949
>Sadly they've never appeared since.
Ewing keeps throwing balls (Nightthrasher's return, Champions of Europe, Power Man and "Iron Fist", Angela and Ava chasing the White Tiger), but nobody is interested in catching them.
>>94786055
Yeah, it's a bummer, because he ALWAYS does that, and a part of me loves him for it, but hates Marvel for not doing anything with it.
>>94786055
>but nobody is interested in catching them.
That's the great tragedy of Ewing. There's still Silver Surfer using Life bringer Galactus, but even then that felt like kind of a "you scratch my back I scratch yours" thing since Ewing used the Never Queen.
>>94786174
I can't be bothered to read Slott's Doctor Who Fanfiction, is Silver Surfer any good now?
>>94786214
I've only read 3 random issues, so I can't really say. I like what I've read, buuuuuuuuuuuut I've never been an /ss/ fan, so I don't think my work should carry muchor anyweight.
>>94786265
Silver Surfer is one of those comics I REALLY need to get to reading, but there's just so damn much of it that I keep putting it off.
Last issue for today, Anons.
I loved the Mighty Avengers. It's a damned shame the book god screwed over because of the event.
>>94786478
A lot of Ewing books are cursed to be derailed by events.
>>94786566
That a Luke cage rape face if I've ever seen one.
>>94786566
Is that a Bendis trace?
>>94786604
It's just Land, Anon. All of his faces look like rape faces.
>>94786626
No, but there's literally an image of the old lady from >>94785332 being traced, and where it's traced from.
The more I think about it, the more I see that this was the worst possible time fro Ewing to start at Marvel.
With everything going on, he never really stood a chance. If he had gotten on board a year or 3 sooner he might have been put in a better place.
>>94786633
>It's just Land, Anon. All of his faces look like rape faces.
Oh yeah, I forgot. It doesn't help that a lot of faces are actually from porn.
>>94786653
Seriously, Ewing NEEDED to be around a few decades ago, back when they had real continuity wizards like Mark Gruenwald on staff.
>>94786689
It's the TEETH that are how I can recognize his work. They all look the same.
>>94786734
Had that happened, he might have been able to craw his way up to be one of the big names of the company.
Still, his continuity powers are unmatched today, so far, I think /co/'s only ever caught one error.
>>94786776
>I think /co/'s only ever caught one error.
The only error I remembered was in USAvengers, where he said Songbird didn't have powers without her harness, and his track record was so good, I assumed he was having the character saying that being wrong about it, and Melissa chose not to inform him of that.
And that's it for today, Anons! See you tomorrow, where hopefully I'll be able to do a few more issues of Mighty Avengers
>>94786653
>>94786776
Didn't he even fix the one continuity error /co/ found, too?
I don't know if it would have done him much good considering that he always picks d-list or lower tier characters for his pitches. And even then I doubt other writers would pick up on the toys he leaves in the box.
>>94784652
Welcome back, broseph.>Why are you posting in another storytime instead of continuing your own
Shhhh
>>94787238
Because as I said in that Anon's storytime (without the name, of course), I REALLY don't like Fraction's Defenders.
I'd say it's my least favorite Defenders run, but not only does Fearless Defenders exist, but so does Bendis's Defenders.
>>94784677
Ah shit, I forgot this had LAAAAAAAAND in it, RIP.
>>94787288
Welp, you're gonna have a bad time when YOU have to start storytiming it.
>>94787269
Haha, I was actually talking about me, egomaniac that I am. I'm getting real lazy with my storytime, but in my defense, it's been a rough year so far.
>>94787507
I mean, I've seen your threads during the few times I've been back on /co/ before I got back to it, so I can't give you TOO much shit.
>>94786746
Hellooo Jen!
