Why is he the best written and possibly best acted hero in the Netflix series?

Marble fans are easily entertained?

His show had 2 seasons

Because he's the only one of the four that anyone has heard of

He was a main side character on a major HBO show. All of these other actors were either no one prior to this or very minor roles. That said, Luke Cage is actually a really great actor too. If you watch him in interviews he talks and acts nothing like Luke.

Because he and his show had to prove that Netflix Marvel shows could work, while the rest didn't have such high expectations to overcome.

Because Charlie Cox.

It also had the Punisher in it too.

Because his show had to actually prove something (that the Netflix Marvel shows could work).
Because the show actually got to several of the best aspects of the source material.
Because all the other shows tried to imitate it while Daredevil had to be unique and interesting in it's own right.
Because it had to redeem the character from the Ben Affleck shitfest.
Because it was a genuinely well written crime drama that happened to involve a superhero, instead of a superhero show trying to pass itself as a drama.
Because when so many people were dissapointed with Age of Ultron and dull characters sitting on ivory towers quipping and going through boring journeys to save the world from generic supervillains, the small scale yet personal heroics and gritty drama of Daredevil became so much more refreshing and interesting.
Because it was the right show with the right character at the right time.
Pick any of these, I'm sure there are others.
Honestly, Daredevil S1 was lightning in a bottle. They could never recapture it again.
