I think it's going to depend on how they handle them from here on out but VLD definitely has worse pacing in regards to character development. Sokka had gone through a lot more growth at this stage but now that I've seen the groundwork they're laying out in S3, I think Lance has the potential for more dramatic change and it could be good, I just wish they hadn't taken so long to show their cards. With Keith I need to wait and see, he has potential but they're throwing a bunch of plot at him and his arc feels like it's being pulled in too many directions right now, I'm hoping they'll converge into something more coherent in the future but if not then I hope they pick one direction and focus on it instead of spreading his character too thin. They really need to stop dawdling so much with the development though, we're almost half way through and barely any of the cast feel like they've even begun to get fleshed out.
