Do you think Cage and Iron Fist will be required before watching this? Kinda don't feel like sitting through them. Do those two shows build up to it at all, apart from Claire having sex with everyone?

So you watched JJ since you didn't ask about it. Both of these shows are better than JJ so if you sat through it, you should at least give IF a try since it's the better between the 2. They're not required though. Episode 1 of Defenders will quickly catch you up with every character's individual story before they meet.
