I didn't mind Ashi, but I am still confused about what exactly happens in the ending as a result of all the time fuckery. Like... are Jack's friends ever born, or do they exist without remembering Jack, does Aku just vanish, but the timeline is inexplicably unaltered otherwise? Like why did it take a couple days for Ashi to disappear? So much left ananswered
