How do you feel about "nonpowered" human characters achieving blatantly superhuman feats of strength?
It says right there, magic; are you calling that guy a liar?

the same way I feel about the fact that an alien powered by the sun can fly....indifferent

Just because neither of them believe in it doesn't mean that rune wasn't magic
>>94663854
well thats pretty far-fangled reasoning
If we assume something neither of them believe is magic is magic, why not just assume literally anything is magic?

I heard about drunk Russians killing bears with their hands in the wild, so why not.

It's retarded. But Conan is a bad example, he's pretty consistently superhuman. I'm speaking more about folks like Batman and Daredevil.
atleast post some pictures of batman punching people through concrete walls

>conan
>the guy who almost diddled a goddess of frost in his first story.
>>94663689
I have no problem with it.
I'm only getting turned off the character, when the narrative tries to paint them as better than superhumans, because they are "normal"
>>94665535
>he hasn't read "The Phoenix on the Sword"
It's a comic book, so no.

It doesn't bother me, it's part of the conventions of the superhero genre, and to some extent heroic fiction in general. Goes back to the original pulp heroes like Doc Savage and Tarzan, and beyond that, heroes of legend like Beowulf.
