what are some good comics about people slowing losing the will to live?
Sandman
most Tom King comics
Don't know any, though if somebody made a comic about /co/ that would fit the bill.

Honestly, I'd argue that a lot of Punisher comics are kind of about Frank losing the will to live.
I mean, the guy just throws himself into obscenely dangerous positions where he could easily die (yes, I know he's got plans on plans on plans for all kinds of shit but still).
If you look at it like that, its kinda like the guy's trying to commit suicide without actually pulling the trigger on himself.

I have a really shitty instagram comic about that if you'd like https://www.instagram.com/p/BXpaJKOlrn9/
It's pretty crap quality though

He's pretty much punishing himself for failing to protect his family until he dies.

Vigilante. It's a slow decline of a man thinking he can make a difference into realizing he's doing nothing in the long run and is actually fucking up.

Sympathy doesn't help depression. It just makes you wallow in your crap heap feeling helpless and justified in your helplessness. You've got to grab ahold of anything you can to try and push yourself to live.

Jesus, that's some original Death Wish shit right there.
>>94663998
Fuck yeah, Death Wish.

The original specifically.
I enjoy the sequels, but they're basically a different franchise.

>The one-worder “ahold” often goes with the verb “get” and the preposition “of,” as in “Get ahold of yourself!” You could also say, “I grabbed ahold of his arm” to mean “I grasped his arm.” Dictionary.com (1) calls the word “ahold” informal, but it’s been around since 1600 or 1610. As for the two words “a hold,” you could say, “He’s got a hold on me” or “I put a hold on that library book.”
