Have you ever seen a girl at a comics shop?
If you're a girl, have you ever been to your LCS?
>>
>>94647101
Of course.
What the fuck man.
>>
>>94647101
with really hot and famous women, most people assume that they don't stand a chance or that she is waiting for Chad Thundercock to pick her up for their daily fuck-a-thon
>>
>>94647101
>Have you ever seen a girl at a comics shop?
Yeah
>"Nice (vintage) Loki shirt! You enjoy the arc with his presidency run?"
>"Oh no, I just watch the movies."

This is why I don't go to comic stores anymore.
>>
>>94647101
Translation: She doesn't get asked for a drink by attractive guys.
>>
>>94647238
Nah, if she got asked out by unattractive guys, the article would be about how she got harassed every time she went out to the bar.
>>
>>94647101
Whenever I'm at any comics shop there's always at least one girl looking at erotic anime/manga art books (not Hentai, just erotic oin ups). Does manga turn you gay?
>>
>>94647221
>I just watch the movies
You guys were in a comic shop. She was just trying to get you to fuck off.
>>
>>94647101
>Is rich
>Is famous
>Surprised she isn't getting dicked on the daily by average joe's
>>
>>94647238
Would you have the guts to go up to her?
>>
I can honestly say I have never EVER seen a girl at a comics shop. I think it's just a fact that Girls do not read comic. Or it could be that I'm Eastern Eurotrash and we don't actually have comics shops. But I'm pretty sure it's the first one.
>>
>>94647221
why was she in the shop then
>>
>>94647264
No, weeb girls are just fucking freaks.
My sister is a total weeb and she's absolutely insane.
That said, I think anime turns a lot of guys into faggots, all those annoying trap cunts are into anime.
>>
>>94647288
lel
>>
>>94647101
Yes. The best shop around in my city actually has some girls working there.
>>
>>94647208
>>most people assume that they don't stand a chance

Can confirm. I had oneitis in college and I asked her out just to end it with her because I assumed she would say no. She said yes and we ended up dating throughout the rest of undergrad. She told me later on that she thought I was confident because I asked her out, and that she liked how confident I was. Other guys, even really good looking dudes, just didn't approach her. She was really surprised when I told her the truth. Thankfully being with her had made that confidence a reality rather than an act at that point.
>>
>>94647101
Yeah. Behind the counter, even.
My ex-wife used to go in to pick up Luna Brothers and Brian K. Vaughan trades.
It's not uncommon. They're a minority but they're not uncommon at all at the vast majority of comic shops.

Do you go to Chester Neck-Odor's dimly lit Abbatoir of Comics N' Fetish Porn?
>>
>I never get picked up or asked for a drink
>29

In about six years, she'll be finished.
>>
Yeah, most of the time. My LCS is spliced with a Games Workshop and there's a small crew of women who play, so I see them there most thursdays. I don't know if that counts though because that's more for miniature gaming rather than comics.
>>
>>94647101
Usually a nest of them by the POP! Vinyls.
>>
>>94647360
what armies?
>>
>>94647101
At least once a month. Usually they don't buy anything. I used to see more that were actually consumers, but now I only go on Wednesdays and they seem to usually go when it's less busy. One of the owners is a woman too.

Some of his earlier work is OK, but you're right, his comics are much stronger. In terms of WHF novels, I enjoyed the Florin and Lorenzo series, C. L. Werner's Brunner the Bounty Hunter and Witch Hunter, Thanquol, the Vampire Wars trilogy (about the Von Carsteins) the Genievieve books (about a heroic Lahmian vampire), The Ambassador Chronicles and the early Gottrek and Felix books.

The Warhammer RPGs , particularly the very detailed 2nd ed. ones, are also the bees knees. Interesting, well written and fun to read. The Skaven book is a hoot and the Brettonian one had more love for the knights than GW did.
>>
Yes and yes.

Have you been to a comic shop OP?
>>
>>94647221
"vintage loki shirt"
no such thing anon, you made that whole encounter up.
>>
>>94647774
I mean what's the likelihood of that happening anon? Live with the realistic notion you don't matter. Nobody is laughing at you, nobody even notices you. You've already left that person's mind. That's how insignificant you are to those around you.. You're immediately rejected as useless information.
>>
I used to date a girl that said she loved comics, but she complained that every guy she ever told that didn't want to talk about anything BUT comics. Which I guess is true, it's so rare that once you find it out, you want to let out all of that pent up knowledge. I basically just forced myself to ignore it and accepted that the best I was gonna get was someone who was hot and found the fact that I own all of Avengers West Coast to be cool and not lame.

In other news there's a very pretty girl that dresses up as Gwen Stacy at this bar I go to from time to time, but I basically refuse to hit on her even though I'm good with girls, because I think she'll think I'm fetishizing her.
>>
>>94647987

>>
>Women
>Having interests outside of pleasing Chad

Pick one.
>>
>>94647238
Nah it's a case of being too hot, it's a real thing, I cant find the image but I saw an okcupid infograph that showed "amount of messages sent to people by average attractiveness rating" 7-8/10s got the most messages by far, there was a steep decline in the 9 and 10 range.
However if she's bi, I find this horseshit, because homos don't give a fuck about that kind of shit, they've got nothing to lose.

Old tripfag, heavy emphasis on the "fag." Liked to crossdress as Gwen. Once shared a story about dressing as a girl scout when he was ten or twelve and being fucked by his entire boy scout troupe. I'm sure someone will post the screencap of it.

A few. One I talked to for a long time about random shit, she ended up recommending Autumnlands to me, which I'm still following. Most are fatties, though. >>
>>94647101
>If you're a girl, have you ever been to your LCS?

Before "tits of GTFO" you asked the fucking question, faggots.

Yeah I've been going since I was a kid and have seen other grills there, too, or gone with groups of all grills. And honestly zero reaction from anyone either way. Every one I've been to has been chill. If I ask for honest feedback on a title when looking for recs I get honest feedback. People bitching either way seem to be posting from another dimension because it's been all normal boring shit from my end. Sometimes grills behind the counter and again no awkwardness or weird shit from anyone.
>>
>>94648931

Oh cut that bullshit out. It's not offensive to do it but most dudes are either acting like turbo spergs or are ridiculously overbearing and make it clear they just wanna fuck. No, not every girl is going to happily and openly accept a drink, but you need to have at least some awareness of your surroundings.

The other night I'm at this bar with a chick I know, and she disappears for like 20 minutes. I go and find her and it turns out this dude had cornered her in the dark bathroom hallway and his opening line was "I was too afraid to talk to you in front of people so I followed you in here."

Cmon man.

You assume way too much. They might tell their friends if you were super-creepy about it. But they're not going to think about you at all after the fact.

Also, as things are now, girls are less likely to laugh at you, because they never know if you're going to come and kill them for saying no.

>>94647101
Am girl. Was literally in a comic shop for hours just yesterday.

At one point, there were two big D&D groups playing (8+ people each), and there were multiple girls in each group.

I've been to 7 or 8 different comic/game shops in 2 states. Spent a lot of time in one of them when our D&D group had to move buildings due to stupid renovations.

I play D&D in some of its varieties (Pathfinder, etc.) as well as M:tG.

My advice: just be nice.
>If a girl looks uncomfortable when talking to you, ask her if she's okay and leave her alone if she continues to seem uneasy.
>Don't ask her out on the first go. Be friends first.
>Work on reading visual cues.
>Don't test them for geek knowledge.
>Isolating and being rude to women is stupid and will not make her like you for real.

>Don't act superior.
>It's hard for a lot of girls to feel comfortable in that setting, so do your best to make them feel welcome.

Multiple times, but my city has multiple LCS, including some that specialize in more hipster-y and less Big Two/IDW/Dynamite stuff. You'll find your Boom and certain Image tiles in their windows.

>If you're a girl, have you ever been to your LCS?

Friend of mine is a tall, muscular, gay African-American really into cartoons and comics. I volunteered (four hours) at a gay comic con to get in for free out of curiosity. At least 20 girls came up to him and said hi in the time he hung out with me while I was handing out stuff to the VIPs and while we walked around before and after my shift.

Later on, after I asked, he said he knew most of them from running into them regularly at comics shops. He's the kind of guy who is there bright and early on Wednesday EVERY Wednesday (he works evenings/nights).

Yes, my boys sometimes take me there. I take glimpse of which mangas are being sold but usually if I have money I end up buying something. Last time I got a special edition of We3.
