What part of this show made such a big fan base. I enjoy

OP here. This is what I found: Camp Camptells the story of Max, a jaded ten year old, who finds himself stuck at a dysfunctional summer camp run by a shady business mogul who is looking to turn a profit any way he can. The cynical Max will have to survive annoyingly cheerful counselor David, the weird cast of campers, and bizarre surprises at every turn before he can escape for home.

The fanbase isn't that big. I knew it was around last year, but I barely made an effort to start watching it.

Roosterteeth has a decently big install after RvB and RWBY. Not huge but not bad either.

I like the show because it gives me at least a few good laughs per episode and avoids a lot of the pitfalls most adult comedy cartoons don't.

I fucking hate the fandom because most the people are the same fanfiction writing shipping obsessed garbage you find in any fandom. I hate that any place to talk about this show is so filled with such awful fucking people. I wouldn't even care about their dumb little fanfiction pitches or shipping shit if they kept it to some degree of moderation but it's all they ever fucking talk about.

Any remotely active fandom is going to be terrible, I know that. But it's still annoying when you want to talk about a show and everyone else just wants to talk about their fucking waifu or shipping or husbando or jack off fantasies or some shit.
