I wouldn't say it is bad. I rather enjoy it, even without all the fetish stuff. I find the characters all fairly enjoyable, and I'm genuinely curious where Dan takes the story. I will say it moves at the pace of an actual rock sometimes, and that gets pretty annoying.

I like it too, though I feel Dan's need to explain every little thing to annoying as shit, not to mention introducing rules only so that characters can break them. Exposition is probably the biggest reason for the snail pace.

Blame his stupid fanbase for that. He only started going into his Byzantine world-building exposition essays after being pestered endlessly for explanations for things that really don't matter. Dan, being the huge marshmallow that he is, immediately rolled over and began accommodating people who honestly need to know who pumps the batmobile's tires.
