Most people do not understand that a character is not their powers, Sif is not Wonder Woman, Sentry is not Superman, Moon Knight is nor Batman, etc.

So she didn't get the starring role in the biggest female-led movie in years? So what? Neither did thousands of equally qualified actresses. What she did get was a (much better than scale) role in Thor, asked back for two sequels, and a couple of guest spots on SHIELD, oh, and in 2015 she got a third shot at a tv show, which is more than most actors ever get. Usually if you have a couple cancelled out from under you your manager stops taking your calls and your agent tries to convince you to do more technical stuff to make yourself more attractive to productions.
