Moon Dust is more akin crushed Glass. The specs of dust are extremely abrasive and hazardous. More over during the Apollo missions the dust was described as getting everywhere and being a huge problem. I'm sure he cane handle it, it's just less pleasant than it seems.

How come no superheroes have body hair? On the chest and belly. How am I supposed to identify with any of these characters when none of them look like me? Where's the diversity?

Sometimes Superman does have a hairy chest but mostly he doesn't.
Sometimes well-known hairy guys in comics have zero body hair.
