Penders will never get to work again. He's destroyed himself. Nobody will ever hire a backstabber, and he has no sympathy from any other comics pro to keep him afloat.

If he goes for a lawsuit over his Star Trek work he'll have to defeat CBS entertainment in court, which isn't gonna happen. If he goes after his Forgotten Realms thing he'll be fighting Hasbro. Neither company is as incompetent as IDW is, and both have significantly more lawyers to throw at him.

Keep in mind that his attempted lawsuit against Sega over Dark Brotherhood was continually dismissed. He only "won" against Archie because they literally could not produce a contract, and even then he should have lost.

establish a status quo, build up a mysterious enemy, then boom reveal enemy and disrupt the quo. act twos climax happens and then the game ends.
there should have been a whole section of Eggmanland, and then clashing with the fractured Dark Brotherhood, and having the Argus Entity as the big enemy, before the inevitable end of using Eggmanland as a decoy for an Argus Event and the Noble Nocturnus Clan members sacrificing themselves back to the Argus cage to ensure the Arus Entitys demise.
Eggman cries over his briefly held empire and Knuckles is sad over the loss of potential echidna kinship while Sonic and the gang cheer him up by giving him caradiere.
