It's mainly aimed at kids, with some stuff in there for the adults. Also has some pretty heavy stuff involved (one of the later episodes has a character nearly die of an asthma attack, and it's played surprisingly straight given the nature of the show up to that point.

The show's gotten a decent amount of press based on its' depiction of LGBTQ themes and characters. Regardless, it's basically Regular Show except actually kinda made for kids, it's sometimes weirder, and honestly pretty comfy

Honestly, my biggest problem with the finale wasn't the fact that it centered around a pride fest (not a problem at all, really).

Personally, it just felt a bit overblown and kinda out of place compared to the tone and general stakes of the rest of the series. I mean, the fact that the whole monster-fighting force (whose name currently evades me) brought up once or twice earlier in the show comes back in full swing at the end, leading to a massive robot V. mutants V. Phillip's mom battle feels unearned in the sense that we never really get any build-up to the conclusion outside of the initial introduction of what are Phillip's mom's true origins.

I realize the show is operating on a sort of Regular Show logic (start with a relatively small or normal problem or scenario, and have it grow to a cosmic scale) at times, but it feels jarring to go from the episode prior to the finale (which actually features some legitimate drama), into the finale proper, which kinda sucks the air out of it.

I feel like I may not be expressing my problem with the finale exactly (or may not have a true point to stand on here), but at the end of the day, the finale's problem (in my opinion) deals with the fact that it almost feels like it has to end with a massive physical conflict when something smaller would have sufficed.
