That character is JG's self-insert, much like Mordecai but more obvious. It makes sense that there'd be similarities.

I don't have any reason to think the show will be bad, since 70% of the Regular Show staff will be working on it. What I am curious about, though, is how JG's humor will work with no boundaries. Will it still be as clever? Or will it be like Rick and Morty and just stick its head up its own ass?
