Oh no I'm aware. Toriyama stated that the only time he planned for a dragonball arc from start to end was with the Saiyan and Freiza saga. Before that he was making shit up, and after that he was making shit up.

Reason for this is because the Saiyan to Freiza saga were huge turning points in the series. Goku was given a much clearer backstory, aliens became a huge aspect, and the stakes were raised fairly high. Proof that the less involved a studio is with a show the better it can be. Sonic Boom is pretty much all but swept under the rug by CN and it has legitimate 10/10 moments because the writes can basically do as they want. Similar thing with Ghost Stories, the dub team was given free reign to try and make the show good and every instance of a fuck to give was completely absent.
