We can only hope. The source material is retarded and this no-kill bullshit has been rightfully ignored by literally every superhero film. Superman straight-up executed Zod and Non. He killed Nuclear Man. He broke nu Zod's neck. He stabbed Mega-Zod to death. Batman machine gunned a dozen of Joker's henchmen to death. He blew up another one with a missile. He threw Joker to his death off a tower. He burned Penguin's men alive. He blew up Penguin's lieutenant. He threw Penguin to his death. He knocked Two-Face off balance which led to him falling to his death. He intentionally blew up a building with a bunch of ninjas and Ra's VI inside it. He let Ra's V2 crash and die. He tossed nu Two-Face off a building. He gunned down Talia's driver. He caused Talia's car to crash killing her. The list goes on.

The exception is Spider-Man oddly enough, who in six films and three continuities still hasn't killed a single person.

Batman 89 is solid and there other "killer vigilante" interpretations that work, but Snyder's version was very ill-conceived for the story he was trying to tell.
