It's clear CN only wants preschool tier stuff that has no story and maybe tiny continuity. TTG and PPG are examples of it being the case while being reboots, Apple and Onion and Summer Camp Island are examples of it being a "new" idea that isn't a reboot.

Either way the KND sequel wasn't getting made, we just didn't see the signs at the time
