Avatar Press is showing more signs of trouble.
A few weeks ago they had a 75% off sale on comixology, and now they're having a clearance/blowout sale in this month's Previews.
Is it really the end for this publisher?
And damn, Gillen is sorta screwed with Uber if it is.
When's the sequel coming out
I know know nothing about how Avatar ran itself as a business, but with the likes of Moore there I would have to assume they did right by the creators unlike Dynamite where you hear some pretty awful stuff.
I'm usually down for some good old edge every so often, but Avatar was really lacking in the art department with rare exceptions like Kevin O'Neill or Juan Jose Ryp.
As long as they get me that Providence box set I Kickstarted, I don't give a fuck. Seriously, they have mediocre heavy inked art and over the top stupid stories. They also make an annoying amount of variants. So many they turned me from a collector to somebody who ignored them.
And wouldn't Gillen be able to just move the property to Image? They'd be willing, right?
.... Wait who would publish LoEG final volume? Them or somebody in association with Top Shelf?

I think Dark Horse or Dynamite would take Uber.
Top Shelf will take curation of LOEG

It depends on its sales though. Remember that Image doesn't work the same way as a regular publisher does.
https://imagecomics.com/about/faq
>How does publishing a comic book or graphic novel through Image work?
>Image was set up so that creators could do what they want with their creations, and reap the benefits financially. When a book is published by Image, creators are not paid up front. It can sometimes be two or three months before one sees money from a book. It sounds rough, and it most definitely can be. But if it’s done right, the payoff can be far more rewarding than producing a book in the conventional manner.
>When the creator does finally get paid, they get paid on what their book makes after the cost of printing and Image’s modest office fee, which covers solicitations, traffic, production, and some promotion of the book. We make no more money off of our highest selling book than we do our lowest.
I know GIllen's published stuff with Image before though so maybe since Uber's established he could publish it through Image in the worst case scenario. But I think he'd also have to make sure the artists get paid too.

Uh oh, I bet Rich the Leech is panicking if that's the case.

What is their relationship exactly? I noticed that BC got a shout-out on Avatar Press' wikipedia page

Maybe if he hasn't dragged it out so long with the Germans falling was backwards I to victory no matter what this wouldn't be a problem
They would have a kickstarter for every new series and every issue of their boundless imprint is mostly reprints
just let it die, most of their books are shit and their porn comics all have the same art. They should've scouted for talent online
