Not really, as far as I recall. Her series is much more driven by her status as an observer from beyond the fourth wall. She's also more amusing in that she often acts like a sociopath in her treatment of characters as characters rather than people. While I don't dislike the Venomverse Gwen art the art in her series is much better too.

At least you weren't introduced to the character in the pages of Mark Waid's "Champions".

Miles got ported over to 616 after Secret Wars ended. Gwen got ported to 616 during Secret Wars. The only Miles comis she would have ever read were Ultimate Spider-man, and Miles was good in USM. She never would have read any of the post-Secret Wars Spider-man issues (which is when he went to shit) since both Miles and Gwen ended up in 616 as a result of Secret Wars.
