I believe old school superboy had the best explanation of kryptonian bullet-proof: Kryptonians have a powerful but reflexive telekinetic aura, which is also how they fly, move so fast, and have super strength. They're not actually bulletproof, they just have a repulsive field, which allows them to "feel" normal, but repel any force exerted upon them. A plane doesn't break in half when superman catches it because he's not lifting it with muscular force, he's telekinetically lifting it. He doesn't fly or run fast, he's TK pushing himself. OG superboy was fucked up by cadmus when they created him, which meant he was lacking in certain powers, but he also had tactile TK, which he could spread through and use to explode mechanical constructs. It's a weird explanation, but it's the best fitting one, IMHO.

around her inception with the All-Star Squadron she's kind of a bitch (Because she's supposed to be a young and confident woman who oversteps her bounds as her character flaw). Earth-2 Superman got fed up with her and he likes EVERYBODY (He even came around on Luthor)
During the JLI/JLE days she's kind of a bitch (But that was caused by diet soda making Kryptonians crabby... seriously. She also made out with Aquaman then Green Lantern, was not her best series) but has moments of genuine feeling and caring for her teammates.
During John's era of JSA she's a confident self-assured woman who isn't afraid to go bitchy but is generally shown to be a capable leader.
During the Grey-Conner-Palmiotti run on Power Girl she's super mellowed out and confident in a way that Superman used to be. Also funny and I miss Atlee.
During Winnick's run she just sort of blanded out.
During the Powergirl/Huntress days she's an idiot who gets tricked by even the simplest ploys and lacks confidence.
