The one thing that bothers me about the show is how they killed off the biggest 'villains' no more council or galactic government. those were arguable the only threats to Rick and now they are gone. That seems very dangerous when it comes to plot progression

Still don't get why people claim that this show has intelligent writing. It is potty humor and pop culture references most of the time and the "deep" parts basically just feel like a 15 years old child who watched a Youtube video about Nihilism. The best parts in this show are the improv scenes yet no one seems to worship them as much as the cheap entry level Nihilism.

I sat down and watched it, gave it a shot, and counted 9/10 of the sketches were grossout humor.

The show is easy to understand and accessible to a wide audience. So there'll be a lot of people in that wide audience who have no real experience with anything else, especially children and teenagers. There's a shitload of children and teenagers on the internet because they have endless free time and haven't developed enough shame to shut their mouth and think through what they say before they say it.
