There's nothing fundamentally wrong with training animals and keeping them in a circus as long as their individual needs are being adequately met. That might not be possible in the cases of some certain species or individual animals that generally don't respond well to that environment because of their specific needs, but it's entirely reasonable in plenty of other species.
