I'm not one of those neurotics living vicariously through Fox, but in this one case I'd think it a shame if the MCU did go and do Secret Invasion immediately after getting the Skrulls because I feel CA:TWS already did a perfect job of tying together a bunch of strings and using them to create an air of paranoia with Hydra infiltrating everything unseen. If we go on to reveal Skrulls were also infiltrating everyone and pitting their false sense of security against them it starts to get kind of redundant and lazy and far less meaningful.

I'll admit they managed to handle Civil War relatively well compared to the comics, but that's primarily because it was heavily altered. I'm not sure how much you could alter Secret Invasion without it still feeling like familiar territory.

I think why I still am Ok with Marvel changing the stories in the movies is that they stay true to the characters themselves. Granted there are differences. But I'm ok seeing a story told differently on screen, its like a whole separate story and I can still be somewhat surprised at what happened instead of knowing exactly what will happen because I know the story.

Evil geneticists tend to be good villains.

Sinister is a great villain too, but only Gillen's Sinister who became his owns species, that is the one Hickman used in Secret Wars.

I think the best Marvel villain is Maestro. Basically, the strongest there is, with the intelligence of one of the 8 smartest men on earth.

Still it begs to question quite a few things, surely those observing him should begin noticing inconsistencies in their descriptions. Unless Mephisto's spell covers it so they all hear what they thought they saw, which I guess falls under Magic Don't Gotta etc still at some point it seems more like the idea filling in the gaps like liquid foam rather than naturally fitting in them. I will agree though that if Kirby's original idea was for it to be a psychological thing other writers might have ironically been influenced by misinterpretation and no one wanting to tread over anything just left it be.
