I know this might be a weird thing to complain about, but for some reason I hate how setting up the cutaways requires the characters to talk in a very unnatural and forced way.

It wasn't always like that. In the first two seasons when Family Guy was actually funny there were fewer cutaways and they were much more natural, like "Earlier I did this" and it flowed with the conversation and then cut away.

Now it's "*normal conversation* *breaks* it's like that time I cruised across Las Vegas with OJ Simpson riding Trump's car over Adolf Hitler's tricycle."
