Frank Einstein / Madman. He's a cool guy.
>>94245211

>>94245928
No, Madman is Allred's own character and series.

Madman ran under Dark Horse in the 90's but it's under Image now. You can find the original run in three TPBs.

God bless you, anon!
>>94245928
Also, I'm not being rude, because you seem genuine, but I can't imagine how you "couldn't find" anything about Madman. You have the cover for an issue, clearly labeled Madman Comics, from Dark Horse Comics. Enlighten me here.
>>94246236
comicbookdb.com is your friend
>>94246268
I thought it was related to X-Statix because I bought an action figure of it. As for the cape, I did not even notice the Dark Horse logo.
>>94246319
understandable. enjoy your weekend.
I'm gonna post pinups now
Madman has so much cool shit that ultimately goes nowhere, it's maddening.
>>94246739
It was good while it lasted though.

>>94246889
>>94246907
I bet these took all of five minutes apiece. Still legendary artists though and they're not "bad" drawings in any sense of the word
>>94246995
Probably advertising drawings. I've gone off him a bit, hhe's dope, just not too much to my taste. >>94247040 The size of that comic was a fucking crime. I know he draws really big originals but come the fuck on, Firstsecond
>>94247053
Nice!
>>94247086
FUUUUCK ! I fucking love the way Jim Woodring draws humans. One of my fave cartoonists ever

>>94244457
Oh boy are you in for a ride! I discovered Madman last year and now the whole series is among my all-time favorites. The writing and art are consistently great, and it's very cool to see the style evolve across the years.
>come to /co/
>madman thread in the first page
What the fuck, that's something.
He's Allred magnum opus, any real comic fan should give a try.
Dr Gale is my waifu.
I have over a hundred of these left. I'm just gonna post artists that anons have already expressed interest in.

That Madman/Nexus crossover is neat, shame Badger didn't show up
>>94249253
GREAT comment placement
I'm still waiting for the movie that Allred and Rodriguez promised us back in the 00s
Hell, development began back in the mid 90s, Allred even talks about it in Mallrats
>>94249370
Is that the manager from Fasionable Male?
I'm done for now.
>>94249388
I don't know if you're joking but that's Allred and Ben Affleck in the set of Chasing Amy

>>94246961

>>94249496

>[Show creator] Bruce Timm was kind enough to tell me that Madman was a direct inspiration for the show, with comics open and referred to when developing the show.
>Stupidly, I was flattered; happy to inspire anything. But when the show came out, with no acknowledgement or credit or any kind of compensation, I slowly became annoyed as everyone and their uncle confronted me with "there's this cartoon that's ripping off Madman" and "you oughta sue".
>I simply wrote a friendly letter to [show producer] Steven Spielberg telling him his production was a direct lift of my creation, I had no intention of creating ripples, I just wanted him to know that I knew. No one replied, which is fine. And to be honest, Madman is an amalgam of a half a dozen other influences. So who am I to complain (the exclamation mark on the chest still kinda urks [sic] me a little though. A little too close for comfort)
Obviously he and Timm are on decent terms though. (pic related)
>>94249611
Thanks! You doing ALL the pin-ups?
>>94249415
Oh I remember when Fiffe was selling prints of this. Such a cool pic.
>>94249720

>>94249591

>>94249983
Someday, anon.
Allred isn't done with Madman yet.
