Basically this. It gives me mad Freakazoid! and Animaniacs vibes. I think it would work if it followed in the steps of those shows.

I always REALLY liked the blue crazy dude's design as a kid. I don't know if it was the first signs of being a furry, but I like seriously LOVED the shit out of that dude. My favorite character in ANYTHING
