I basically read what you read to start the new 52 along with the last new 52 arc of her book and some of Rebirth.

I would say that last arc of her new 52 run was fairly solid, though I guess not amazing. Maybe just buy that if you really want to see where she ended up after the start. Rebirth is a hot mess for her, so if you want to read more with Supergirl in general cycle back to the pre-Flashpoint Gates stuff at least.

She got a non-canon mini (Being Super) that I haven't read yet, but I've been thinking about it because it has a good artist. That might be something to look into as well.

Her Rebirth isn't that bad. It's slow as shit for the first 6 issues, then just stays sort of meh. Calling it a hot mess makes it sound like Rebirth JL, which is its own level of garbage.
